Trains

Wateringbury Railway Station didn’t change all over the years. So it is possible to use trains from Era 3 to Era 4 (1930 – 1960).
In the period just after the War the Olive Green collered locomotiveswere still in use by the Southern Railway/BR as also the first engines in BR Brunswick Green ‘Early Crest’. So it makes the period 1945-1960 very interesting and colorful.
The period after 1960 is more difficult  because the track was electrified with a third rail.

 SirPelleasBachmann_class_5Mt

The standard Class 5Mt locomotives have both in Black and in BR Brunswick Green ridden on the Southern railway.
I want to renumber my version of this locomotive to the BR/SR 73114 and equipped it with brass nameplates “Etarre”.

Schild Sir Pelleas

Etarre_naamplaat

Both locomotives are named after the King Arthur legend. Sir Pelleas , knight of the Round Table , was hopelessly in love with Etarre, a noble lady. But his love was not answered. Such a drama is good on my layout.

CONTINENTAL STOCK

The layout on the side of Beltring & Branbridges Halt is very rural and implemented green. On this part of the layout also my (older) continental stock is running. The tracks here are Piko A code 100. The high flanges of the wheels made this older stock not suitable for code 75.
